PAPPY-FREE!

Well..... you won't be seeing ANYMORE of this!! YAY! Praise the LORD - we MADE it! We have been Pappy-free for a WHOLE week now! She has done GREAT! After the first, say, 4 days it has been pretty good!

It is so sweet to see her go to sleep without that thing in her mouth. You can actually see those beautiful, pouty lips, which i ADORE to still kisses from. I am so proud of you, baby girl! Mommy and Daddy love you very much!

Good night last night!

Well, last night was the 3rd night of being without her Pappy! She done extremely well! I think it was because she was so tired, though. Her cousin Laura Beth came to stay with her and MiMi yesterday and neither one of them would give it up and take a nap. But on the way home she was eating a piece of pizza and she had rubbed the sauce on her leg which got in her boo-boo and started to burn her. So, she started crying over that. I gave her a baby wipe and that didn't help ANY - she still was screaming. I am NOT exaggerating... she was still crying when we pulled in our neighborhood and by the time I pulled in the garage - she was OUT! (It takes MAYBE a minute to get to our house once you pull into the neighborhood) She stayed asleep until about 7:00. She was the devil once she woke up.. :) Brian thought something was wrong with her because she has never just cried for no reason.... I told him just leave her alone and she'll be fine. She is just in a BAD mood and doesn't wanna be bothered! He finally left her in the room, still crying... After about a minute I went in there and she did calm down. After that there was NOTHING we could do to please her! She cried over EVERYTHING! So, come 7:30 - it was bath time!! But after she ate, she was fine! I finally had to get her out of her room from her movie (her movie to date is the Hound Dog - "The Fox and the Hound) around 9:15. She cried because she wanted to watch her movie. But we went in the den and we laid on the couch and turned on Diego and she went to sleep WITH NO PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! Now, I am not getting optimistic quite yet. I am telling myself she done so good last night because she was SO tired! Lets just see how tonight goes!! :)

The battle with the Pappy starts!!!

Well, we put our foot down last night and said NO MORE to the pappy!!! After a solid hour of screaming (and the neighbors probably thinking we were beating our child) she finally went to sleep WITHOUT her passy for the FIRST time ever!!! We started around 9:00 with our normal routine of putting her to sleep - which consist of her laying on the couch with either Brian or me. After the hour of screaming, I decided to turn on Diego for her, which hushed her up. So it only took her about 10 min to go to sleep after that! So, this morning about 4:45 she done her normal scream, at the top of her lungs, "MOMMY"!!! (I have about got used to it and it not scare me half to death when she does it) I was like, oh no, here we go again. But she asked for her pappy as I was getting her out of her bed and on the way to our room.. Then just a couple of more times once she got in our bed, BUT she never cried for it! She went on to sleep AGAIN! =) So, maybe just a few more loud nights and she'll be DONE with it!! So, pray for us and our sanity while we take on this task! But, I'll keep you all posted with our progress!

The Easter bunny came to visit Miss Kelsey!!! When she finally got up we told her "Kelsey, the Easter Bunny came to see you!!!" She "ran" in the den and stopped and was actually looking for him... It was so funny!
Kelsey was all into the egg hunting part this year! I was so proud of her - she was actually finding the eggs herself! (I guess she should at this age! HA) She even found one above her head in the tree! :) She really cracked me up, though.... She was "opening" the REAL eggs to see if they had candy in them!! Needless to say, I threw quite a few of the real ones away!

Bunny's and Easter Egg's.....

Well, we started off the weekend at MiMi and Paw-Paw's. MiMi and Paw-Paw got Kelsey a Miniature Floppy eared bunny rabbit for Easter. (...they ARE keeping it at their house) Kelsey has named her bunny Thumper, Dylan named his HoneyBun. They are too cute with them. Everyone came over to their house to Dye Easter eggs. It was So much fun this year. Kelsey was ALL in to it.. Laura Beth was, too!!! She had "hulk" hands once it was all said and done.




We had our annual Easter Egg hunt at the church today.. Tim, Jennifer and Isabella came to join the fun with us. I was so excited they got to come. Kelsey had a BLAST hunting the Easter Eggs! She got a whole basket full. After the hunt we went in for crafts which lasted only a couple of classrooms, then they were DONE!! They were just ready to play.

This picture of Brian and Kelsey is my new favorite!! Brother Kevin was praying at the beginning of the Easter Egg Hunt. Brian told Kelsey, ok, let's pray, now. Close your eyes... and she did. It is the SWEETEST thing EVER!!! It just brings tears to my eyes.... She is my little princess and I love her SO much!!

Kelsey's First Year

Well, I was just curious as to exactly HOW much Kelsey changed during her first year....... I just can't believe she is already 2 1/2!!! I think she looked like her daddy more when she was little, but looks like me now...?? :)

It's been a while!

Well, the other night Kelsey drew me some beautiful artwork during her bath time. She wanted me to draw mommy, daddy and her - so I had to draw our family... It was a mess but one of the many memories I will never forget!!

Here is a few more pictures from the past couple weeks. Saturday before last, we went to MiMi and Paw-Paw's for dinner. MiMi had gotten Kelsey, Justin and Dylan a kite - so we had fun with that......

Last Sunday, we had dinner at Nanny's house to get all the grandchildren together to play. Mom has been wanting to get a picture of their feet - and we "kind of" accomplished that! I think it turned out pretty cute, whatcha think?

Then last week Brian and Tim went to hit some golf balls, so the girls (Jenn, Me, Kelsey and Bella) stayed here and cooked dinner. The girl's are starting to have fun playing together!! :) Kelsey LOVED pushing Bella in the stroller. (Then the daddy's had a fit about Kelsey pushing her and made her stop - of course she cried) !FUN TIMES!!!!
